Cristina Alvarez

Bilingual Navigator

Cristina is a bilingual patient navigator at the Metropolitan Chicago Breast Cancer Task Force. She joined the Task Force on December 2016. Her interests lie in helping those whom are facing barriers preventing them from receiving quality health care. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in English from Loyola University Chicago. In addition, she has a continuing education certificate in Spanish Interpretation and Translation from Triton College. Cristina has previously worked on research at the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund as well as the National Opinion Research Center, always with a focus on the disparities faced by those in minority and underserved communities. Cristina is dedicated to eliminating such disparities and facilitating quality care for all women in the Chicagoland area.
